On 17 May 2009, psychiatric survivors and allies from five states peacefully protested in front of the Annual Meeting of the American Psychiatric Association, which was held in Moscone Center in San Francisco. MindFreedom International and California Network of Mental Health Clients co-sponsored the “Festival of Resistance.”
