Mary Maddock Petitions Ireland About Forced Psychiatric Drugs
In Cork, Ireland, Mary Maddock, one of the founders of MindFreedom Ireland, submitted an official petition to the government of Ireland, and a copy of the text is here. Mary challenges the legality of Irish policy on forced psychiatric drugging. Mary presented the petition to the European Union Petitions Committee durings its tour of Ireland.

Major Media Pound Psychiatric Drugging of USA Kids
In May 2007 both The New York Times and USA Today have run major investigations of the rapidly increasing prescriptions of powerful psychiatric drugs, such as the “neuroleptics,” to USA children. MindFreedom asks, “Then why is the State of New York still recommending neuroleptics for three-year-old children?”
VIRGINIA TECH MFI Info Center: MindFreedom files Freedom of Information Act Request about Cho.
MindFreedom Virginia has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request about Cho. MF-Virginia filed this FOIA because of press reports that the Virginia Medical Examiner has said he will not release toxicology or autopsy reports about Cho. Such reports could shed light on whether or not Cho was on a psychiatric drug at the time of the shooting.

Electroshock in India: News Analysis
On 1 April 2007 — April Fools Day — in the city of Pune in India, a mental health center held a major event promoting electroshock. The organizers of the promotion covered up hazards about electroshock and gave false information. NY Times continues spotlight on Eli Lilly’s corruption involving Zyprexa
The New York Times ran a new story on 23 March 2007 that again exposes corruption by Eli Lilly in its promotion of its psychiatric drug Zyprexa. The Times has run quite a number of pieces ever since the formerly-secret Zyprexa files were exposed by PsychRights founder attorney Jim Gottstein, who leaked the documents to NY Times journalist Alex Berenson.
