This past summer July 24-27. 2014. The Choices Committee of MindFreedom International had a successful conference that was attended by over 100 people.
The conference was held at Wisdom House in Litchfield, Connecticut. Each Conference participant chose one of five tracks and each track focused on a different alternative to the mental health system. The five tracks were Open Dialogue, The Sunrise Center ( a place for people who want to stop using psychiatric drugs), Soteria House, Peer-run Respite, Hearing Voices Network. At the wrap up at the last day of the conference facilitators and experts provided a summary of each track. Below are the summaries of each track.
