MFI Delegation to Ghana

In April 2011, MindFreedom International sent a delegation to Accra, Ghana in Africa, to train activists in MindFreedom Ghana. The Open Society Institute of the Soros Foundation funded the project through a Disability Rights Initiative grant. They had the opportunity to meet with community activists, leaders from the cross-disability movement, and the Deputy Minister of Health, as well as tour a psychiatric institution in Accra. It was a learning experience for everyone involved.
