MindFreedom International invites you to join us for an online community screening of Medicating Normal, a must-see film for psychiatric survivors, their allies, and everyone who longs for the existence of universally accessible, non-drug/non-force alternatives in their communities to support people in distress.
Medicating Normal, is A 76 minute documentary film exploring our current mental health care system’s reliance on psychiatric drugs to deal with trauma, grief, and distress. The film also addresses how such treatment impacts military veterans and caregivers. There will be panel discussion immediately after the film featuring filmmaker, Lynn Cunningham; military veteran and subject in the film, Angela Peacock; Cindy Olejar, psychiatric survivor and member of MindFreedom Seattle. The panel will be hosted by Ron Bassman, Executive Director of MindFreedom International.

1) Suggested Fee- $8/ticket– After covering the cost of the event, the proceeds will be divided evenly between MindFreedom International, whose mission is to win human rights and alternatives for people labeled with psychiatric disabilities and Periscope Foundation to support Medicating Normal’s outreach.
2) Free for anyone unable to pay, and who may contribute in other ways such as simply sharing the film’s message with friends, family and contacts or helping find other screening opportunities for us.
