Here is how to find information about upcoming major meetings of the American Psychiatric Association. MindFreedom calls for nonviolent protest until and unless the APA ceases being one of the main organizations in the USA opposing the human rights of our constituency. [updated 17 Oct 2012]
The American Psychiatric Association holds a wide variety of meetings.
Inspired by some of the peaceful protests of the American Psychiatric Association that MindFreedom International has helped organize, such as the 5 May 2012 “Boycott Normal” protest in Philadelphia?
Below find a schedule for APA’s major meetings.
The two main annual meetings of the American Psychiatric Association are in May and October.
The Spring Annual Meeting is the largest. The Fall annual meeting is a bit smaller.
MindFreedom encourages peaceful protest of the APA until and unless they have meaningful dialogue with organizations representing psychiatric survivors, to address both systemic human rights violations by their profession, but also the widespread silence of the APA itself about this ethics catastrophe.
