Name: Marybeth Dorn, Ramsey County District Probate Judge
City/State: St. Paul, Minnesota
Marybeth Dorn was the Ramsey County District Probate Judge who, in
December 2008, ordered to continue forced electroshock (also called ECT or electroconvulsive therapy) and neuroleptic drugging of Ray.
The December hearing in Region’s Hospital basement, according to eye witnesses, was inherently unfair. The court-appointed attorney did not call any expert witness who would support Ray’s position to end forced electroshock. Individuals present who were willing to testify in support of Ray were not called.
Public position on Ray Sandford’s forced outpatient electroshock: Signed order for Ray’s forced electroshock.
Public position in general on outpatient involuntary electroshock over expressed wishes of subject: Signed order for forced electroshock.
IMPORTANT NOTE:MindFreedom and Ray endorse nonviolence principles. Even if an individual or agency opposes Ray’s human rights, MindFreedom and Ray ask that any communication be civil.
Please write a letter to, or leave a phone message for, Marybeth Dorn, explaining how powerless and poorly represented Ray was.

Teresa R. Warner is the Ramsey County District probate Judge who on June 18, 2008, signed the initial order for forced ECT and neuroleptic drugging of Ray. Both judge’s positions are elected.
However, Ms. Dorn was appointed in July 2002 by Governor Jesse Ventura. Her current term expires 2010, when she would face re-election if she chooses to run.
